Default Shady Valley, TN - Sporty Fall Group Ride

2012 Sporty Fall Group Ride
Shady Valley, TN
10/5 - 10/7 weekend; Date has been set
Campgrounds website: http://www.switchbackcreek.com/
If you don't want to camp, you can google for motels/hotels in Mountain City, TN or Damascus, VA.

It's that time again when we spam this thread trying to get some cool people out to ride with us. Every year, there seems to be a couple nibbles and some interest but when it's time to ride, there's always excuses.

We're getting sick and tired of the original group and want to meet some cool new people that don't act like they do on these forums when you meet them in person. So plan ahead, take some time off, grow some ***** and come out and do some best riding of your life.

I'm linking back to the post from last year as that contains a ton of information and pictures. Don't add anything to the old 2011 post and just use the link below more for FYI purposes. Any discussions for the 2012 ride, should be on this thread.

And for some marketing material...

This is US-421 (aka The Snake) between Mountain City and Shady Valley. This is the road you're going to be riding and potentially get bit if you don't ride your own ride.

I'd like to see you guys again......was up in shady yesterday doing the snake. Had two bikes down, not in our group, with minor injuries. Mostly hurt their pride....

But I don't have a sporty anymore......so maybe you guys would let softail tag along.

Had a blast last time I meet up with ya'll........

Jesla!!!

We've been talking about you and wondering where the hell you were. Softtail, bagger, crotch rocket... doesn't matter to us. All are welcome!

Ash and I were just there this weekend as well but I left Sunday morning and Ash left later in the day but we must have just missed you. It started off as a Sporty group ride and as tradition dictates, I'll always post in this thread as I'm a firm believer that Sporty owners (previous owners in your case) are the only ones who really know what they're doing

Please keep checking back for updates and we'd love to see you again this year.

It's a "maybe" for me. 5 hours on the interstate at 70 plus mph traffic doesn't sound fun, especially with lanes going from 2-4 most of the time.

The fun starts when you get to Shady Valley. Relax, ride, repeat. Kelley
