The TTI's work well with both the stock V&H baffles AND the "quiet baffles". You will definitely pick up some low and mid range power...enough to feel!

Thanks. I'll add them to "the list". With short shots and QBs which ones would you recommend?

W118's with standard or QB baffles.

The W158's if running no baffles.

The vid below gives you an idea of what it sounds like on the road, with no baffles and the W158 Thunder Torque Inserts

If I threw a pair of these in my Rush 1.75" slip ons will I need to go back and get a new base map loaded in with my power vision? Or would just a few auto tune sessions be good enough?

If you install these and just ride, you will feel a significant bump in low and mid range power.

You would not even have to do any auto tune sessions, let alone change your base map.

Auto-tune will not hurt, it will help enough to show up on a dyno chart, probably not enough to feel it seat of the pants.

The reason why these give more power, regardless of the tune, is that they are increasing the exhaust gas velocity, resulting in a "cleaner" more productive charge on each combustion stroke.

Doing an auto tune, while not necessary, will help, because it will now see the non-corrupted by reversion charge in the cylinder and make some small adjustments to take advantage of it.

I realize this is an older thread, but I will be purchasing a set of these tomorrow. I have the V&H BSS, on a 14' 103 motor, and I'm wondering if I should leave the stock baffles in, and just bore the set screw hole, or remove the baffle all together. Also, in reading, I think the TTI's are supposed to be located about 2 inches from the end of the pipe. I have the black BSS's, so my heat shields have a chrome cap on the end, putting the baffle hole about 4 inches back from end of pipe. Does this mean I should drill a new hole and not use the factory baffle hole?
Which size TTi is recommended, and I assume I need to completely remove pipes to install, so I should probably order new exhaust gaskets also.

Thank you
Regards
Rollcage

Do you have a video, I would like to hear how it sounds. I am considering copying you but I am positive I would screw up the cut. Great job!

Here's a sound clip of my stock mufflers fitted with W258 TTI's. They sound great and perform well.
