Damn, I dont know why mine isn't working. It displays "NO CAL" and then "% 0"

I've let it sit for about 10 minutes and it still isn't working. I've done all the troubleshooting and to no avail.

Are you sure the run switch is set to the run postion? That was my problem at first. Key needs to be at ignition postion, not accessory, alarm fob needs to be with you if you have an alarm, and the run switch needs to be set to run.

Nope, none of those were the issues.

Just an update for those planning on buying this combo:

When I originally purchased my bike I rode 3003 miles and then purchased a Dakota Digital which allowed me to match the 3003 miles I already had on the bike.

Today I tried to install my new HD tach/speedo and the "odo update/download" didnt work and it did not read my 8020 miles that my bike has on it. I then installed my old "stock" speedo to see if that was the issue. Now my new HD tach/speedo reads 3003 miles as opposed to the 8020 miles that my bike actually has. So now, I must remember to add 5017 miles to whatever my odometer reads.

In all honestly, this sucks! I dont plan on selling my sporty but I do feel that at some point I will purchase another Dakota Digital and just reset the odometer to read it's proper amount.

So my advice to anyone who already has a "non-stock" speedo be aware that the HD tach/speedo might not download your odometer properly.

Just an FYI

Default nice

great write up & review . I would love to have one .
I wonder if my old eyes can see the MPH numbers now that i've moved my speedo to the left fork using the Summit racing bracket ?

what does the "R" mean between the fuel level & MPH ?

It's strange now. Since I cleaned and greased the connections I didn't get an engine light for a while. One came on and went off a few seconds later while riding. It threw a U1097 code but the speedo seemed fine. Cleared the code and now the light comes on for a few seconds after startup as if there is a stored code. Diagnostic is showing no codes though. I think I'm going to check and grease the harness that plugs into the gauge itself tomorrow.
