Yeah if you would have read just a few of the 19 pages you would see most of us that went keyless also have alarms although there are a few crazy ones out there that trust more than me! Pretty sure any question you have about this mod has been answered in the post....
Finally posting a picture of mine completed. Light still comes on a few seconds after turning it off though for some reason. May have to install a relay to cure that?

The LED on the push button comes back on (slightly) about 10 seconds after the alarm arms itself and chirps. Thinking a relay may fix it but I'm not going to undo all my wiring that's finally clean now til I have to for whatever reason.

l totally got the button setup and forgot all about it.
edit: Just looked back in the thread to see why i stopped. Saw the date 6/22/2016... bouncing on my face down i95 and the dyna rebuild took priority. Lol
Super old thread, but I tried to add a rocker switch to my 01 FXDX, I have a switch with 3 poles, and the button itself has a red light.
I wired the red to one pole, then solid black and red/gray together on the other pole.
The button has the red light in showing power, but nothing happens with the bike. Any thoughts?
This is the switch I'm using:
I once used that switch to power on subwoofer amp in my truck. i believe its really a 2 pole switch + a 3rd pole just for the red light. swap your wiring around and itll work.
