Hi folks. I got a 06. 1200L. 14,000 miles and the starter is starting to grind when starting sometimes and getting worse. Have not had the starter out yet to see if the bushings are worn out or if it is something else. Anybody had this problem before? Thanks!

 

You have a stripped starter clutch gear, it's not uncommon on the 1200's. You can buy just the "starter clutch" assembly, you don't need the whole starter.
