I just got this ironhead given to me. I am and old school biker but I have no experience with Sportsters. What I would like to know is this. Is this thing worth rebuilding and can you still get parts for this model. Thanks for any INFO, Johnnie

Parts are pretty much available for the ironheads, depending on the year and what you need. I am in the process of making my '77 XLCH road worthy again and have had no problem obtaining parts. You may have to hunt around a little bit, again depending on what you want/need, but I have had tremendously good luck on eBay and a few other NOS OEM suppliers. IMHO, they are very worthwhile restoring.

Good luck!
