Default What are your head temps if running a Dakota digitial or Power Vision?

Just wondering what other people are seeing for head temperature (NOT oil temperature)I am using a Power Vision unit (reads ET for engine temperature) and seeing head temperature as high as 420 F at times.Outside temperature today is only about 55 F...Other times during the ride the head temperature will read around 385 F

I am in Mesquite, Texas. 55 F today and have a Power Vision and Dakota Digital. If I am moving (around 60 mph) temp keep around 280 or maybe lower. if I stop, 325 max.

Depending on the ambient temperature... I'm usually around 180C (350F), but on a real hot day I've seen it over 200C (400F)

I dont know about that previous post, the bike is not at operating temps until around 130C (260F)... Hence why when you set up your limits in LogTuner you use 300F for your min temp and 400F max temp.

Due to the location of the temp sensor on the head of these bikes the numbers are actually higher than the true engine temp, but it's what the ecm see's it as.

Who knows,my bike has been shut off for hours now and the head temperature still reads 80 degrees, but yet feels cold to the touch.

I did some searching on a different forum and the temps I am seeing seem to be normal for the Sportster.
