Just bought a 1989 hugger sporty and it needs new wiring in the front end. Headlight/turn signal/speedo area. Could really use a diagram to show me what wire goes where.

I've got a1991 FSM, maybe you could identify which color wires you have and I can look at the wiring diagram for you.

You should consider the purchase of a HD service manual for that bike.

 

nc883 you are awesome. The diagram was spot on. Thank you, the only issue I have now is that the turn signal doesbt blink on its own. If iwant them to flash I have to repeatedly push the buttons.

 

Is the relay still intact? I think my 1991 has a different turn signal design, self cancelling, so probably no help.
