Default New to the Sportster Forum

Just wanted to drop a note and brag a little about the Sportster we've added to our family. Had been looking for one for my wife and found a 2005 883 for sale that had been garage kept for 6 years! Under 400 miles when we bought it (under 100 up until they decided to put it on the market). Included the passenger pillion and backrest (not pictured), detachable windscreen, engine guard and a Stage 1 kit. Now if the wife can manage to find some time...

Tell your wife to watch out, you might like it so much you'll start riding it more that she does.

Man, that's a good find. I mean, it's brand new. Be sure to check the tires for sidewall cracking due to age and change the oil. Congrats.

Good points. Checked the rubber - looks good w/ no cracks (supposedly was kept in a climate controlled garage). Fresh oil as well, and the seller said he cleaned the tank and carb too. So far so good!
