Default starter engagement

It takes 3 or more pushes of the starter button to get the starter to engage with the clutch gear. I replaced the solinode with no improvement, the battery was tested and I was told it was good.

Default RE: starter engagement

What does it sound like? is it clicking (low battery condition) or grinding (won't engage but spinning)? If my battery is below 14 volts it will click. The starter motor has very high amperage draw and inrush current is an extremely hard shock to the starter system. Try jumping the battery from a charger or auto source and be sure allconnections are clean and tight.
