Anyone here ever rode on a wooden solo seat? Saw this at a swap meet, I thought I'd share. I can't imagine it to be very comfortable, but for a bar hopper, it is an interesting option.

I ride one every morning, it has a hole in the middle and is in my bath room.
kidding aside, if it fits your butt it would be very comfortable. I made a custom metal pan and rode it for awhile and it was like sitting in one of those plastic lawn chairs. In all honesty when it was covered fell the same, so same with the wooden one, just grind away the hot spots, and ride it.

 

I could see it on a rat bike.

 

Don't know about comfort but it sure would look cool after a few years of wear-n-tear

I can't see that aging/weathering very well for a bike that's ridden. Novelty yes, practicality no.

 

There is a company out west of a couple of guys with skateboard backgrounds that make seats out of wood. Thought I had some pics...will post em up if I can find them.
