How much performance difference is there in the stock carb vs an S&S Super E? I have an 02 1200 conversion with n4 cams.

 

all i can say is i have an 883 with CV, i ride almost everyday with an 883 with S&S. he struggles to keep up but he does have 60 pounds on me. other than weight, there's not any difference in bikes. hope this helps.

ps, S&S are hard to maintain adjustment. i never touch my CV.

 

A properly tuned CV carb will flow all the air an 883 can use and more. Unless you have extensive motor work, or plan on doing extensive work you have all the carb you need.

Use your money for something else you want.
