Default Low fuel pressure

Last summer 2012, my wife's XL1200L started running really rough 450 miles from home. Had to trailer it home. Not a fun thing during vacation time. A local Indy mechanic had a tough time finding the problem. What he told me was there was a broken o-ring in the fuel tank somewhere in the high pressure side of the system causing the fuel pressure to be low, around 25 psi, should be 55 to 60 psi. He had the bike for over 3 weeks to find the problem, don't have a local Harley dealer. I've searched this forum for other riders with a similar problem but haven't found any so I'm hoping this is a very random failure? Anyone else with this problem please reply.

Default

There has been an issue with the lines developing pinhole leaks due to their routing, but I believe that should have already been corrected on a 2012 bike.
