Hi,
New to the forum. I recently pulled the motor out of my 2003 sportster 883 and put on a david bird hard tail. me and a friend bolted the motor back in and re-connected all the electrical, except for speedometer and signal light which were disconnected or cut at the connector. When I turn the key on there is absolutely nothing at all as far as power goes, battery is good. any help would be greatly appreciated while I am running through all the electrical.

Check your fuses and your battery straps at both ends. If that all checks out, check for power on the harness all the way up to the headlight.

 

Turns out one of the wires we thought was a common ground for the frame was suppose to go on to the starter.
