Default Stage 1 and touring shocks installed

Well after going back and forth about what shocks to install I decided to give the touring take offs a shot. Even better that my mechanic had just taken a set off a brand new bike and they were in awesome condition.

Figured Wanda was with him so I would go ahead and get all the DK parts and have them installed at the same time. People aren't kidding that DK ships fast, ordered Monday evening - parts were installed Thursday evening.

Looks good - The next time I have my shocks off I'm going to turn them around so the shraeder valve points backwards...mine are hard to get to with the pump because they crowd the side covers.

Wanda becomes just a little more wicked!
The air shocks match your bike perfectly, how do you like them? I run mine a 0 PSI single and 5 PSI with the warden on the back.

Yeah Man....Digging the white and black paint. Love my air shocks. Best $80 I've spent yet as far as comfort goes.

Love them! I plan to keep them at 0 PSI but will pick up a pump to try out other pressures.

I had tried some other shocks but couldn't justify the $750 price tag so I decided to give these a shot and love them so far.

So how would this compare to stock 48 shocks? I'm fairly light 145lbs and my bike seems to not absorb the bumps as well. Are these better than coilover/progressive shocks?

The air shocks are an unbelievable difference over the stock shocks.
I haven't tried the progressives but almost everyone on here that has them really like them as well so I would say their pretty comparable.

As others said, anything is better then stock. I tried out forum sponsoring shocks at a recent bike event - made all sorts of adjustments but it just never felt right, especially at the $750 price. Decided I would let my mechanic install some take off shocks on my bike and lucked out that he just took some off a brand spanking new bike.

I put over 100 miles on Wanda today and the ride was much comfortable. Looking for potholes and none of them felt like they did. I will say that you may want to try a new seat before shocks as my butt still hurts but all the back pain I had from feeling every nook and cranny is gone. Even rode in the rain and I had no worries about not feeling the rear of the bike, felt planted under me the entire time.
