sportster nightster and iron seats interchangeable?
can anyone confirm if the sportster nightster and iron seats are interchangeable?

I think that all Sportster varieties can use the same seats but the pre and post 2004 seats are different.

They are, just remember that 2008 - 2009 bikes need more space in the seat for the ECM so if the bike you have has no ECM on the fender any seat that fits an iron, nightster or even a Custom will fit.

to add to that, the ecm can be relocated and you can use any seat 04 and up. I moved my ECM next to the battery. Do a search, there are a few write ups on this.

my 2012 iron has the 48 seat on it no problem at all !!

Yes - My wife had an Iron with a Nightster seat on it. Dealer swapped it for her when she bought it.
