But the question is........is the new Panigale still in the equation for a Feb delivery date? I just traded in my Monster for a new 2014 Dark Stealth Ducati Streetfigher. My 48 isn't getting the love it deserves at the moment, but as the weather clears I will get her out for a thrashing. Are you on the Ducati forums?

Finances permitting, yes!! I miss riding a Sportbike... and love the sexy looks of the Panigale. The fact that they came out with the 899 was great. I don't need a liter bike. I want to wait to see if they come out with something like an 899S... with LED headlights, some CF, slipper clutch... a similar package as the 1199S but in the smaller displacement.

A lot can happen from now until Feb... but I hope that I can add it to the stable. Got the hardest part done, convincing the wife...

And yes... I visit the Ducati forums. Same id (wachuko).

Man! That Streetfighter looks sweet!! Congratulations!!

How did you find the fit for this on the 48? From the HD site, it doesn't list it as a "fitment" option but I clearly see you have it installed and it looks functional!

They fit. Just make sure that the fork tubes do not hit the bar...

Mine were very close... I dropped the forks another millimeter just to be safe.

Wow-awesome.
I was looking at the Dyna but I like the old school look.
Seeing this and the bigger tank, I'm now torn between three, the Dyna, 48 and the 72.

Thanks for the pics/info-SWEET

Default Good taste

Very nice bike, thanks for sharing all the details, I need to spend some $$ on my stock 48... this will definitely help with some of my decisions.

Removed the 3.3gal tank. Installed the 2.1 gal stock tank and removed the ***** G skull emblem I had installed on the 2.1... Filled the tank and the gas bottles. I will be using it like this for awhile... Just for fun...

EDIT: I AM NOT SELLING THE 3.3 GAL TANK - I have both thanks setup with fuel pumps.. so it is an easy swap when I want to change looks. Since I have no long rides planned, I decided to install the 2.1 tank just for fun around town.

And I do have to share... I always liked the looks of the V-Rod... and always had an itch to have one. Well, Sunday (yesterday) I took the 48 out for a ride and ended at the local dealer... Started talking to the sales guy and he tells me they have great discounts on '14 V-Rods. So I test rode this:

It was comfortable, bike looked great... but that was it. It did nothing for me... did not click any ooohhh ahhhh buttons... and I really wanted to like it to the point of filling the sport ride want that I have... So no V-Rod for me... still plan to get the Ducati Panigale.

Poor 48... I could see her sweating thinking that I was going to trade her in...
