Does anyone know where I can order/buy the sportster 48 tank decals?? I have a 2013 so it say FORTY-EIGHT in the big letters it doesn't matter if its that one or the 1 that says sportster...

I was thinking of putting on that "triangle shaped" logo of Harley Davison that is one of those thicker stickers that is an adhesive, aluminum emblem. It's about 2mm to 3mm with the raised edges.....not sure if I'm explaining that right. hmmm....one sec...like this but in a more pewter color - http://images.fineartamerica.com/ima...hristopher.jpg

 

I have seen them on ebay or you can contact your local Harley Dealer I'm sure they can get them.

I've never seen the 40 tank decals for sale anywhere. But I would try HD since they are very obviously copyrighted. In the meantime, here are some pretty cool options:

I can't find the thread, but recall someone saying that the 48 tank logo is screen-printed, not a decal, so can't be bought. Of course it can be copied and there is a thread here showing a copy.

 

I think the one you showed can be ordered from hd and run about $45/

 

Hi guys, great thread, Im from Australia and want to ask the same query. I have a 48 and want to put a metal 'bar & shield' design (what someone has explained as 'triangle').
The HD dealer said it is curved and couldn't be done. In respect to the aluminium raised edge decal I have heard they fade quickly.

Check prices at dealer before buying emblems from ebay.
I bought my Night Train emblems for $26 each in 2006.
Somebody has pair of them for $129.99 on ebay.
