Default Just finished Stage 1 now bike won't start!

So I just installed Nightrider ViEDs and the DK Custom Black Cyclone Outlaw HiFlow 587 Air Cleaner and as I was about to take it out I couldn't get it started. 2012 Iron 883

For some clarification, immediately after the installation I started the bike and let it idle for a few minutes. Everything seemed fine. I turned it off and rolled it back into the garage and it sat for about an hour. Now when I try and start it up it makes a loud CLICK CLICK CLICK (what I'd expect a dead battery to sound like) and doesn't turn over. I measured the voltage on the battery with the bike off and it read 12.11V. Any suggestions?

*EDIT* After push starting the bike, I was able to get it to the dealership and they recharged the battery after running tests on it (covered under warranty). If it happens again they'll replace it under the factory warranty. Thanks for the help and suggestions guys!

Yep, 12.1 volts is dead battery.
A charged battery should measure 12.7 - 12.8 VDC. Believe it or not, that's a big difference.

Well, I said it was dead, not necessarily bad. Do you have a charger?
On a 2012 bike, it may just need charging.
Are you sure you didn't leave the key on or have a short somewhere?

Sounds like you left the key on and killed the battery.

Definitely didn't leave the key in. It was in my pocket. I went to the dealership and they got it all charged up for free for me. The bike is still under factory warranty. I just push started it down the driveway and all was good.

Sounds like it, but that wasn't the case.

Just tighten your ground and power cables at the battery. Same thing happened to me last week after working on mine. Just moved the ground cable and tightened it some more. No more problems.

The dealership did a full inspection on it and recharged the battery. Everything is good now

If you had the dealer remove and reinstall the battery, you definitely need to recheck those battery connections. I have heard and recorded so many instances where the dealer did not tighten them up enough and in a short time they were so loose again the bike would not start.
