Replace the pads with a set of Lyndall Z-Plus or Gold pads.
They'll last several times longer, don't squeak, leave no brake dust on your wheels, and stop better to boot.

Another common cause is dirty rotors. The Lyndall site has cleaning instructions you could try.

What chemicals were in that SPRAY? WD-40. I would be very careful what you sprayed on you rotors or pads. The easiest/fastest ways aren't always the best or safest. Get yourself a HD Manual. Good Luck.

Years ago I was in cage with my wife [now ex-wife] and one of her sisters when her sister said, "Hey Andy, my brakes are squeeking...can I put oil on them or something to quiet them down?" I about $hit and said, "Oh yeah sure, oil them up!" She responded back, "Ok, thanks."

I waited a few moments to see if she was actually serious before I read her the riot act, LOL.

Brake squeal can be annoying.
Yes, clean the rotors. Yes new pads.

You can do this step too:

Ride up to 75 MPH and brake very hard to 35 MPH then keep driving to let the brakes cool (1 minute). Repete 5 times.
