Default 2007 Roadster Tank on my 2012 48

I wanted to give my 48 a bit more range, so I've been looking for a 3.3 gallon tank. I finally found one that I liked that was in great condition. It is a Black Pearl tank from a 2007 1200 Roadster.

It took a bit of wiggling to get the fuel pump out of my 48 tank, but it was otherwise a simple install.

I'm very happy with the result. I really think that I am done with my 48. I have the larger tank, SE A/C, SE Slip-ons and the PowerVision flash.

That looks sweet!! I have a tank also on the way...but it will require paint.

I like how that looks on your bike, sweet, just sweet.

Thanks for the feedback. I was a bit apprehensive when purchasing this one, since I had never seen the color or the design. I was so thrilled when I opened the box to see the color and the minty condition.

I should've taken close-up when the sun was out to show the sparkle.

FWIW, the color code on the underside of the tank is 62731-07BPY, which is the Black Pearl from 07.

Looks great, we made a similar switch on my wife's 72. The extra range is awesome.

I don't know, some white-walls would look pretty cool with that tank!
