sheep, cool , dont forget very light coats , 3 to 5 depending on that paint u bought
... dont forget to wipe it off clean clean clean is key ...
clean it , then wipe it down with rubbing alcohol , let that dry which is fast ..
then do light coats - wait like 15 to 20 minutes between coats..
like u seen my photo that it matchs perfect -- i know the glossy bothered me like crazy hahaha....
ps do not sand or wet sand at all - not needed - just wipe an clean it good - and of course try to keep it from getting dust stuck to it
once your last coat is on let it dry 24 hours to get hardened then ur good to go
get pix when finished

So, I decided to try out the paint yourself method mentioned by Elf..... And to say it was a failure would be understatement!! A portion turned white, and there was no recovering from that, believe me I tried a few things! So off I went to the local hardware store I went and got a can of " goof off", which "may destroy some plastics" and used it to remove the spray paint fiasco.
I then decided to call a guy I know and have him paint the headlight cowl and boot with matte black paint. While I was at it I decided to get the front axel covers and swing arm covers painted as well. I've had the covers for over a year and have not installed due to wanting them black and not chrome when on my bike. For good measure I had the front headlight trim ring painted black as well.
After getting them back I installed all the parts that were painted and the black rear axel covers I had but didn't install because I wanted all on covers to go on at the same time.
