Default rear brake light

I am looking for some help on my sportster rear brake light!!! the brake light works fine with the front brake handle but when I apply the rear brake it doesn't work unless I press the rear brake lever very hard. Anyone else ever had this problem?

The switch is pressure activated by the brake fluid. Mine is pretty sensitive (more so than the front), so you could check to see if it is functioning okay. It could be on its way out.

Sounds like your rear brake switch. Very common failure, mine went out.
