Default ? Help on rear signal relocation...

Ok, I’ve done the rear turn signal relocation on two Dynas that I’ve had in the past, no problem getting the turn signals off, just jacked up the bike and removed the bolt that goes through the signal arm and lens assembly. I’m doing the relocation on a 2005 Sporty that I picked up and it has a stud that goes through the light assembly. I took the nut off of the inside of the fender and thought the assembly would just come off… no go. I took the light bulb and reflector out and can see the stud is threaded into the turn signal housing. Is the stud just stuck and I need to be more aggressive getting it out of the fender? I’ve worked on my own Harleys for almost forty years, can’t believe I can’t figure this out… (I’ve ordered the service manual and its on its way, but this shouldn’t be that difficult, I must be getting old.) How do I get that stud out?

You need to take off the strut cover. Underneath that there is another nut-shaped part of the stud. Loosening this will unscrew the end of the turn signal from the rest of it and you can pull the stud out of the fender.
