Default Main circuit breaker location

Hi

Just a very basic question, could anyone tell me where the main circuit breaker is located on a 91 XLH1200?, need to change mine as it's giving me problems.

Thanks

Yes, it's under your seat. There was a recall on the main circuit breaker for '91 bikes many years ago. I have a '91 (original owner) and got a recall notice. I ignored it, until I was out riding one afternoon and started crapping out. Duh. The dealer gave me a replacement and it took all of 20 minutes to change it myself. Probably less without a beer in between.

It's super easy to change, there are four under the seat, not like these newfangled computerized machines.

You can buy the same breaker at NAPA or any other auto store for much less.

Thanks for the reply John, took the seat off and located the 4 circuit breakers, not sure which one of the four it is. Is it the one with 2 thick red wires and one black? looking from the front of the bike I mean the one in the lower left corner of the block of four.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

Yes, that is the right one, the black wire is coming from your voltage regulator. I had my seat off today, I forgot it was a pain in the *** changing it. Not a lot of room, but you can pull the tranny vent hose out of the way to get some clearance.
