What the above poster said. Bikes are easy to replace.
I don't do much riding at night. There is one stretch of road I do traverse once in a while that is wooded. There are hundreds of deer in that park. I stay vigilant on that one.
Really glas this one has you in good health considering.

Yes Dusty 55 to 60 after all It was down hill. lol And I was being very dilligent about looking back and forth as they say head on a swivel (from my flying days I'm a private pilot too) But this ramp comes off an overpass down an elevated single lane everything was pitch black both sides. I was running with my aux lights on. and my son in law in front with his brights on. and this picture is like all I saw , then in the twinkle of an eye BAM.
Next time I will do the only thing I could do more is SLOW DOWN.
p.s. I was told it was closer to 6:40pm but it was DARK.

Wow! Glad you kept it up and are ok! How is the ankle doing after a couple of days?
Those are some gnarly pics!

The ankle is improving Swellings going down. Strange it started bruising yesterday (black & blue) Thanks for asking. And as for the smell. You would need to be sprayed by a skunk to make it smell better.
I hesitantly posted the pictures they are disturbingly gnarly. But if one person remembers them and slows down (or puts on a helmet) and avoids a hit ...well then it was for the greater good.
Ride Safe
Ps I sure hope the Harley dealer (Calumet Harley) can get it completely restored to original condition. I hate to be a doubter but I would be surprised if they get it the first time.
