one off bobber build! 99 sporty 883 wiring scare need diagram!
hey guys so i finally got my led sled customs hardtail kit in to start my winter build and after removing the engine and getting the new frame hacked and welded in i realized hiding all these wires is gonna be tough. anyone got a diagram for this as i may have to make/modify my existing harness and if anyone has had this delema as to how they hid them all. would a 1998 sporty 1200 diagram be the same and no not a 1200S, thanks guy! cheers, jake

Hiding the wires is the easy part as you can run them through the top tube, but I guess you're refering to the ignition module & fuse box etc?
You'll need an electric box somewhere, some oil tanks come with a battery compartment which can be good for hiding these bits, alternatively you can build an electric box in to the frame.
I built mine into the frame and mounted my oil tank beneath this and finished it off with a louvered stainless lid, I also put the ignition switch and starter button in the side, meaning no distance to run these wires.
As it's part of the frame it's powdercoated gloss black so disappears in to the background, you can just about see it above the oil tank.

That is a great job! In the middle of cutting my 2000 up into a hardtail and I had been thinking of ways to subtly stow away all the electronics. Right now I'm experimenting on fabbing a multi-chamber round oil/electrical tank which will only be marginally larger. If all else fails you have inspired me. Thanks.
