Removed stock mufflers and threw some slash cut slip ons from V-Twin Mfg on there. Sounds a ton better.

Cured the front end "clunk"! Turns out it was the bar risers slightly loose.

Talking Mod

I got a Kuryakyn LED taillight and installed it. It matches my smoke colored turn signals and puts out more light. Now I'm all smoked ! It connected easily by screwing into the 1157 bulb socket.

Pulled the front head to fix a leak and found a gouge in the wall of the cylinder so I pulled the cylinder and honed out the gouge, reinstalled the cylinder, head & misc parts.

Starts ok, idle is good, will travel a bit tomorrow to see that everything is back to normal.

Cheers,

.

Installed a new crank sensor last Sunday, then romped on it for a while. I heard that 04-05's had a crank sensor issue, and mine was 10 years old so it was preventative maintenance. It did seem to run good though...

Today I rode up to a friend's house to shoot the **** and have a taste of his
home made beer.
Parked in his dirt driveway...when I went out to leave, the bike was laying on
it's side. Broke front and back turn signals and busted the peg off the shifter.

The beer was good, though.
