Changed my clutch cable and when I was screwing the cable bolt back into the housing I tightened it too much and it broke. Lesson learned!

I finally ordered some new parts for my 09 Nightster! I plan on changing front and rear brake pads, relocating the front signals to the forks, installing a set of Road 6 Customs 18 inch holy roller ape hangers, new Arleen Ness hand grips, and finally removing the baffles from my Screaming Eagle II's and throwing in a set of DK Customs TTI's!!!!

Went for a nice ride with some friends. The old Ironhead ran flawlessly and didn't leak a drop of oil...

Energy One extra plate clutch kit installed (made the DIY spring compressor posted in another thread)
Replaced H4 LED bulb with knockoff daymaker
Hacked some mirror extensions to make them a bit shorter.

Really happy with the headlight and clutch the mirrors will do for now. Even with the 15% stronger clutch plate, the pull at the lever feels the same to me. 16k miles and my rivets looked fine BTW.

More info and some pictures in build thread in signature if interested.

Can I ask what you did to the mirrors? Id love to get mine FARTHER out, as with the Zeds theyre really close to center, and I cant see directly behind me, worse 2up. I already have the 'extended' mirrors. thought about cutting and welding in a piece of 2 in bar

Just got them "up" more, not out. I'll eventually get new mirrors with longer stems. Just not in the budget right now, so this work around will do for a while.
