My daughter fabbed up a tank lift for me.

2 1/4" CL on the holes and I used the second hole on the tank so the lift is actually 1 9/16" CL on the bolts.

I didn't have time to raise the back of the tank yet. Might go 1".

Also looking to get a peanut tank / 3.25 gallons.

Didn't even bother licensing the 883 this year (more expensive every year, and seems a waste to license both of them), thought it might be a good idea to drain the gas and fill with fresh. I drain tanks by slipping a long tube on the petcock, gets enough out that way there's no spilling when I pull the crossover tube. Darned gas line partially crumbled when I tried pulling it off the petcock, decided to just pull and drain the tank, carb already drained, let it air dry a few days, alcohol rinse to get the smell out, and put it in the basement. Next spring, think I'll just replace all the gas lines I haven't in the last 2-3 years, doesn't cost much, and I already have 3 tanks off the bikes - might be a good idea to run a rustproof/seal kit through them while they're dry, too. Gonna be a long winter, and both sporties are just gonna park through it.

Well it got up to 40 today so I rode that bad boy. Got in around 50 miles before I called it quits.

Started her up for the grand-daughter who's visiting, then went for a little spin.

Got her cleaned up and going to the local Xmas Parade tomorrow.
