1250 kit installed! Just have to button up some odds & ends. If anyone's contemplating doing it, it's not a bad job at all. Just a little time consuming but what else us got to do when it's 20 degrees outside!

Sweet. It on my list for next year. This year is a cafe conversion.

In fact, I ordered everything I need for the conversion, but the cafe kit from RYCA Motors takes about three weeks.

In the meantime, I installed a Figure Machine 4" intake and some Oberon Performance street fighter bar-end mirrors.

Nothing better than the satisfaction of doing it yourself. Nice work.

Pipes on, fresh oil & fuel & the initial startup with the new 1250 kit. Ran through the heat cycles & then got it up to temp for a quick ride around the block as it was starting to snow. Runs strong for sure. Wife will be pleased with her new faster scooter! What did you do to Your Sportster Today?-image.jpg

Since this thread is still running I may as well add that I put Buckhorn bars on my 14XL1200T. It is my favorite style of bar. They used to be the most popular in the 60's to 80's but have fallen out of style.

When the thread started I had an 11 XL1200L but not have the T. Everything on the L went onto the T of course. Mustache engine guard, K&N version of the heavy breather and Kury pegs.
