Cats sportster mufflers
Removed cats from muffler easy. Made mount with angle iron to hold in vice drilled 1 1/2 " hole in cat rest came out with screw driver. Reinstalled still to quite. Drilled 3/4 " hole in the back sounds mint not to loud. Runs much cooler removed heat shields not needed now. Good luck.

Removed cast on my 1200t with drill press and 1 1/2 inch hole saw. Had to go real slow with the speed and used WD40 to lubricate it but they came out pretty easy. Not much sound difference but it's gotta be help with the heat. No regrets. Didn't punch out the baffle as I was looking for heat reduction not more sound.

I turned my bike on for the first time at night last night, (still got my permit, and "can't" ride after dusk) and I noticed the front header turned orange after only a few minutes of idling. I had to loosen the headers to install the rear passenger pegs. I thought I had messed something up, but is it possible that the bike has always been that hot, and I just never noticed because it was usually day light? The bike is brand new, 280 miles on the clock. It's not even broken in yet. The CEL doesn't come on... just gets real hot and I smell a little "burning" if I get my nose real close to the header...
