Newbie needs help!
Hi,
Last summer I bought myself a lovely black sportster - and I love it!
The problem is that reading the thread about loud cans has got me thinking about changing mine - only trouble is I was under the impression that the exhausts were a sealed unit and that I would either have to replace the down pipes etc or get the mufflers cut off. Is this the case or have I got the wrong end of the stick?
Also what would people recommend I replace them with? Nothing too loud but with a nice rumble please so straight throughs are out, the coppers here are pretty tough on obnoxious noise!
Thanks
Chris
ps its a 2006 UK Spec bike.

I know nothing about UK specs... but I would think that the major make up of the bike would be the same...
You can slip off the stock mufflers and slip another set on...
Loud is a relative thing and depends the individual... but I think you're looking at something like Screaming Eagle II or something like that...
