Did those Sportsters come with dual disc front brakes stock, or did you convert them somehow?

I always wanted to get dual disc brakes in the front of my 2009 Iron 883N

Default Dual front discs on a sportster????

Nice - another sportster with dual front disc brakes! I am new to this, but my 2009 Iron 883N only has single disc. Any way to do a conversion to dual disc fronts?

The Roadsters came with dual discs up front. There's a few threads around here with folks converting.

Here's one with some info:

At one time HD offered a kit for changing to dual discs but I don't know the number or remember what years of Sportsters it fit.

I do remember it was listed in the 2006 P&A catalog if you can find one.

Good luck.

Yeah, Roadsters and Sport models had em. But 39mm narrowglide duals in the dyna world are more common. Sourcing the right side parts on ebay is easy and your wheel, if its a mag will take a second rotor no problem. Laced wheels aren't always dual flanged.

Shiftace,

What seat is that on the bike in post #102? I have a 1991 and that is the style I've been looking for. I have the stock solo with "loaf of bread" pillion.

Do these count as 'club' style bikes?
Sportster is mine, Dyna is a real 'club' HA bike.
