Default Club/Thug style Sportster?

Yeah yeah I know there's a dyna thread of this, I've posted and watched it since day one. And yes, perhaps I could even ask in that thread for some sporty inspiration. But with as many times as that thread has derailed with off topic bikes and discussion I'd rather start my own in our section. I also know there's haters and e-tough guys that love to spread their witty banter about SOA this and that. Save it. Its a style of bikes that I and from I see many others dig. Plenty of space for whatever you like in another thread. So here's my entries. A few bikes I've done, not 100% "club style" but fit more closely in that genre than any other.

So what constitutes a club/thug bike? 1/4 fairing and T bars?

You tell me what constitutes one. I'm open to suggestions. Personally, after being around this style of bike for 10-11 years its a number of things. First is performance and reliability. Not just a set of slip ons and a jet change. Big bores, big heads, cams, pipe, induction mods all set up to run hard and run reliable. Ergonomics, meaning setting the bike up with controls in easy reach and comfortable positions. So the bike is manageable at high speeds and angle to be thrown around with abandon without worrying about clipping your bars, scrubbing the pipe, or bottoming out on speed bumps. Of course aesthetics is a part too. Either monochromatic or blinged out but done in a tasteful and modern way. Eye of the beholder man, to me motorcycles are like *******. Some are too much, some are not enough and some are perfect..but all of em are great in their own way.

I don't know, they look like a fair percentage of the bikes that are posted here, nothing that cries out "I'm a tough guy."

Who does not like a well executed black Sportster? You aren't a secret Vespa rider are you?

Not sure what thug style is. Personally, thugs can go screw themselves as far as I'm concerned.

I am a little lost on the term as well. I wouldn't call anything club or thug style. You could say more like race inspired or ***** out modified but the club thug style theme just sounds gay and groupie like. No offense I just feel the way your naming a style seems almost emo. To me most who customize their bike is a reflection of their personality or way of life for the most part. I just realized your name was shift ace not shitface. Put a space between.

That's a low blow with the "emo" shot, but very well played.

On the other hand, I think shiftace is a classic name, extremely clever. One of the best I've seen.
