Default Primary chain tension adjustment?

it I checked the primary chain tension and it seams too loose, in reading the service manual it states something like, rotate the chain and be sure to adjust at the tightest spot.

How do you do rotate the primary chain?

I have not been able to find this in the book.

Thanks

#1 Raise the bike to get rear wheel off the ground.
#2 Remove the spark plugs.
#3 Shift into Fifth gear.
#4 Spin the rear wheel while checking the chain.

Hope that helps!

This is what I do.

I find that when the tighest spot is properly adjusted between 7/16" - 1/2" that the loosest spot can be as much as 13/16"

I picked up a bike lift jack for $50 off of used classifieds, a good investment if you plan on doing any work on your bike.

I use one of those wheel cleaning rollers form Harbor Freight when I adjust my final drive chain, I would think it would work for the primary chain as well. About $20 out the door, and about the size of a large book.

I'm not sure how hard it is to spin the engine with the plugs out and in 5th, but If you can do it on a stand you should be able to use the roller.
