Hello,

I am wondering what the stock rear shock length is for my 2014 Forty Eight?

I am planning to purchase Progressives and do not know how too determine shock length, measure eye too eye on motorcycle?

Whether my Canadian version is a different length than the U.S.A. Version?

Appreciate anyone who might know and can tell me the correct answer.

I have read conflicting information, some say 11.5, 11, 12.

European versions are different, dont know about Canadian........might be. Jack up the bike to get the weight off the rear then measure eye to eye.

 

Here is how to measure eye to eye.

1: Unload the motorcycle. Unload the saddlebags.

2: Bounce the rear of the motorcycle up and down several times. Ensure the suspension is free and not binding.

3: Measure the distance from the center of the upper shock bolt to the center of the lower shock bolt.
