Default 2014 Passenger Pegs

Hey guys just got my new passenger pegs in for my 14' 48, we all know that the mounting is different but just in case someone was curious as to what the actual mount looked like now here it is.

This is the exhaust side, which is the only side that is different. The left side is still the same as it previously was just 2 hole mount compared to this one.

This is the different mounting bracket.

Took off the heat shields. Just unscrew the clamps that hold the heat shield on and pull them off one at a time.

Other bracket on the header pipe, take that one off also.

Here I took off both mufflers, not really required I guess but I did it anyhow. On the bottom of the mufflers there are 2 bolts unscrew those and wiggle that slip-on's off. The clamp's that hold the slip-on's on don't have to be taken off but like most things it just makes its a little easier.

Unscrew the nuts holding the header pipes to the cylinders. At this point you can do one of two things, entirely take the exhausts off or pull them out a bit so you have access to the screws that you need to get to in order to put the passenger peg back on.

I just shifted it down a but being a lazy bum. But as you can see you can get to those screws on the bracket which were previously blocked by the pipe itself.

Bracket removed.

And reattach everything.

Everything finally back together. And I put some light strips on here as well, all off of a flip switch.

And thats all she wrote! Hopefully this helps the next guy looking to put on his pegs. Super straight forward but seeing some pictures and all that good stuff always makes it easier when doing something yourself for the first time.

Can anyone give better instructions on how to put the right side on... My exhaust is off currently, but I just don't see it fitting, a picture of it installed would help greatly!!
Thanks,
Nick

i would wait for the exhaust to come in and do it all in one shot. make 2 jobs in to one and save the time of having to remove the pipes twice
