I found a 58 sportster that was converted to a chopper in the 60s and has been parked since 1992. I love the style but dont know a whole lot about those old ironheads. If I hot it and got it running it would simply be a cool little bar hopper for me. I already have an ultra classic for my longer trips.

anyway, I guess the question to you guys is, what should I be on the lookout for when I get into this project?

My guess is any bike that old, sitting that long, would need a complete tear down & rebuild & it'd be hard to find parts?
