This is a common subject across the entire Harley range of bikes! It is simply a matter of getting used to your own bike and riding it accordingly. All the red light tells us is to think about getting fuel, sometime before too long!

2014 iron. Light has been coming on at 98-100 miles. I've only had the opportunity to fill 3 times now. But it's been consistent.

This is exactly what mine does. Only my paranoia makes me stop and fill up. Most I ever put in was 3.1 gal. On my 4.5 tank

I have a 1200c with the 4.5 gallon tank, and mine usually comes on around the 1.5 gallon mark.

Mine will go on by 85 miles with mixed riding, but with highway only it will go to 95 miles.

Never rely on it. Use the trip meter.

ps. Mine ended up staying on and the speedo was replaced under waranty. No issues since.
