If you bought an imperial vernier, you wouldn't be able to read it anyway, get a metric one and use a conversion table/charts.

looks like il need a new torque wrench. got an old battered one passed down to from years ago. dont really trust it though. think it works out about the same price to get it re calibrated and buying a new one.
plus a like new shiny things lol
il be needing a new big socket set aswel
Knights, the reason I cautioned about the torque being less than 78 ft. lbs. was that several months ago a guy came on here to ask about the wheel nut torque and had already torqued his to 100 ft. lbs and his wheel would not turn.
iv got a crescent wrench, but if i remember correctly it wont fit the big nut. think it might fit the small, cant remember. il have to check
A crescent wrench on the nut is only good for removing it.
To reinstall, you can use a crescent on the axle but the axle nut needs to be a socket on a torque wrench.
