If you want the sxreaming eagles IIs louder, you can add big city thunder monster baffles, but your neighbors will hate you for it.

My wife has the V&H staggered short shots on her 883 and they are louder than my Rush 3.5 with 1.75 baffles.

I have the Sikpipes double barrel. To me sounds louder than my buddy's short shots on his dyna. And at idle, this thing sounds pretty deep and tough.

I have the patriot defender pipe on my iron & it sounds pretty good with the butterfly valve open all the way. It's also a pretty good performance pipe & for $345 it's hard to beat.

Sounding loud & mean is one thing, but running smooth and stable is another. You can throw the loudest exhaust on any bike, but without enhancing other factors (i.e. air & fuel) you might hear the loud bike followed by a deafening "BOOM" or "POP" which is annoying and harmful to your hearing.

Also, loud pipes might seem cool when you're young, but the non-stop ear ringing as you age isn't. I can't sleep in a quiet room anymore (tinnitus sux) so re-think how loud is "safe."

I recommend a decent 2-1 exhaust with upgraded intake and then get yourself a tuner, or dyno. As others have recommended to many forum members...invest in quality, or your bike's operation could be impacted in a negative manner.

Good luck!

I have side shots and they sound really mean. They give a different look as well.

The loud pipes isn't the issue when it come to the hearing, its the wind noise when rolling down the road at anything above 35 mph. I wear earplugs because of the wind not the pipes. I agree 100% in quality pipe and tune. I have short shots, they are loud yes, best performing no. Needed a new set of pipes when the baffle fell out of the rear pipe of my screaming eagle II's, and I was broke.
