Default 06 custom rear wheel

Hi guys first post! Looking to put a 06 custom wheel on my 09, can't stand how ugly it is, is this a direct bolt on? I know I have a 25mm rear axle. Thanks in advance!

pretty sure the bearings are different, I think the 07-09 used the 25mm, the 06 might be the 1"...I think.

That can get changed with new bearings. the biggest issue is if your spacers work. i put a fat Boy rim on the back of mine as i disliked the mags. Bought new bearing and bingo bango lookn good. Dont give up to quickly there is always more than one way skin that kitty.

Axle by year:
'08-up both axles metric (25mm) and 6205 bearings.

'05-'07 3/4" front, 1" rear.

'8?-'04 ¾” front and rear - However, taper bearings are used up to 1999 and ball bearings started in 2000.

Check the part #s for the spacers between '06 and '09. Same part #, same spacers. If they're different, they may have different inside diameters with the same length, making for an easy swap. More homework required.
You can heat a hub to remove bearings. Put the new bearings in the freezer to install them into a heated hub. Or, have the old hydraulically pressed out and the new pressed in at your Indy.
You might want to verify outside diameter of the '06 vs. '09 bearings/hub bore before going too far. I don't remember either way about that.
