Finally found a wheel and got this thing rolling again. Found a rear wheel off a 2003 Road King, all I had to do was flip the wheel around and it mounted perfectly. Got my new Avon Cobra WWW mounted with the new rotors and chrome pulley cover.

Next on the agenda, ride it. Probably put some apes on it in August or September, then paint it in the winter. Few more little things like tank lift and some relocations. Probably going to sell the Jack Daniels seat and get a alligator skin seat.

I got some relocations done and the bike put mostly back together. Got the horn, key, and coil relocation along with a tank lift from DK Customs. Next thing I need to order from him is a clutch pack. I also installed some 16" Burlys and a new LaRosa seat. Also found a black headlight in the shop and replaced the stock chrome one. I like it better and it sits back inside the forks more. All I had to do was extend the wire harness for it.

I am also having a time with my rear brakes if anyone has some suggestions. I put new rotors and brake pads on. The brakes continue to rub the rotor. We have tried taking the caliper off and installing the pads again, but they still rub. You can see where they have rubbed my rotors.

New seat

Little bracket I made for choke cable

Got my rear brake issue fixed, rear fender chopped, got my rear lights wired up for brake/signal/running lights. My tins are getting painted. I've got a few other little chrome pieces to install. Installed a new cam position sensor, but haven't been able to ride it to see if that fixed the sputtering issue. Put some small round mirrors on it.

The only other issue I am having is with the apes. They are knurled, but they can still be pulled down going down the road. With my risers, I don't have anywhere to drill for a set screw. Is there any tape or something similar to use so the apes don't move?

On the handlebars...I've used a piece of an inner tube between the clamp and the bars with good success. I know other guys that have used a piece of aluminum from a can with good success.

Nice work you've done!

Thanks, I ended up using some sandpaper for the bars. Now I am trying to replace the fork seals and cant get the dust covers off the forks.

Got her all washed up and waxed after I installed my DK air filter. The homemade filter and bracket broke twice. Have a long list of DK products on my bike.
