Hello folks! So I was riding my sporty today doing some errands and what and stop by at one of our local gun shops which one of my friends is a long time Harley owner, anyway walk in and there is one of the regular customer made a comment after my friend said " oh it was you that I heard pulling in", then the customer said "His not riding a Harley" then my friend said "Oh he is" then the annoying from the customer," his not dress for it! ! No leathers, no chaps, not even a half helmet"!. I just gave him one of those " you're annoying me look" and ignored him..by the way I am wearing all the right gear same in the one in this picture..

I've had idiots tell me that "Harley Guys" don't wear full face helmets.

I usually just roll my eyes and find someone with living brain cells to talk to.

It's very rare I hear things like that, but when I do, it's usually from a guy driving a minivan. I should note I typically wear a full-face.

Coming from a guy that wears a novelty helmet, which is little more than plastic on my head, I give no judgement either way. I respect people that want to protect themselves from the blatantly dangerous hobby we have, yet I also expect those same people to respect my choice to not take every step of safety. Young and dumb? Possibly. But my main motto on almost anything in life is simply 'to each their own'. Just because someone doesnt live or make the choices the way I do doest give me or him the grounds to call one another 'wrong'.

Rant over.

Yea I think it comes down to an "each their own" thing. I personally love the stereotypical Harley look. I like wearing it, and I love seeing other people wearing it too. I do, however wear a full face helmet. I don't want to die, but again thats just me.

If someone is not about that look, then thats their choice, no one else should care. I'm still going to give you a two fingered wave as I pass you regardless

Yea, to some riders it matters what others think. I'm WAY past that bs, I don't give a f**k what someone thinks about what I'm riding or wearing......

I dunno, I think it's contagious. I bought my first Harley in September, then stopped shaving, in December I bought some black boots... :P
