I used the Willie G skull license plate bolt kit...the old lady got them for me. Before that I had stainless hardware for the hardware store.

I just use the black screws the dealer gives to you. Inexpensive if you happen to lose one. On my old bike I used the torx security bolts.

Any nut, bolt, lock washer configuration you can come up with. Nothing fancy.... unless that's what you're looking for.

IDK...you might need a service manual for this one...

JK, any regular/appropriately sized bolt(s) will do...preferably something in the chrome or SS-class (avoid rust). Didn't your bike have some in the holder holes?

Anyone found a nice plate frame that works on the side mount on a 48?

You can get some cheap stainless steel nuts, bolts and lock washers from your local hardware store. Chances are that they probably sell them in a little pack. Walmart and Sears sell them in pack for a few bucks too.

Nope...tried a few, but all it does is make the plate to be extended further
out. Run my plate "naked" on the mount.
