We went the cheaper way then the fancy Cardo Scalas type. We bought some headsets that fit the helmet that plug into some FRS walkie-talkies. They have a push to talk button for the handle bars but can get the additional Push to talk button that wraps around the finger too (if you don't want a wire that attaches to the bike. Cheap Motorola FRS walkie-talkies run about $10 a pair on e-bay and the head set will run you about $50 each vs the $200 or more for the fancy ones.

My buddy just talked me into a Sena SMH10 - literally. He called me last night, thought was I talking to him while he was sitting in on his porch - nope, he was doing 70+mph on the highway on his Ducati Multistrada. Clear as a bell, almost no outside noise, works with his iPhone for music streaming, Siri voice to text, and GPS.
