Default Bad gas ????

The end of November I filled my tank with super and added stabill. Bike sat until a few weeks ago. I ran about 3/4 of that tank with no problems. Filled up added sea foam ( just because it had been sitting) now it backfire more than usual only on decel, starts and run rough between 5 and 50 mph. Idles fine after the bike has been ridden a few miles.

Could I gotten bad gas? Exhaust leak? Adding sea foam after stay bill? All of the above or something else?

Any thoughts appreciated.

My educated guess is adding the seafoam is whats causing your problems. Once the winter is over you just should have fired up and went riding and then refueled and kept riding.

My Nightster sat for five and a half years with the same tank of gas; after evacuating it and filling the tank with fresh premium, it ran flawlessly. Reading this, I'm glad I didn't use seafoam.

The Seafoam isn't going to hurt anything, but it will run a little rough. If anything it should clean out the system. If it bothers you, just dump it and put new in.

Seafoam is a good product, just don't over do it, to much of anything is bad

Yeah...The problems seem to have started after I added the sea foam and a new tank of gas. It ran fine with the 4 month old gas with stabil.

I think you fixed it till it was broke!

Take it on a long run. Run it low on gas. Fill it back up with high test. You should be fine!

Ok...so I ran it down to reserve and have gone through 3 tanks of super....highway and back roads. Nothing has changed ! Still running very rough especially 1st and 2nd gear.

If it's carbed I would pull it and clean it, including the jets. The petcock screen could also be clogged with some junk.
