I like the idea of it. A lightweight tourer. I did sit on one at the dealership and it feels cramped for my size.

Thumbs up

Ordered a black 1200T for my wive two weeks ago. It's the perfect package for her, absolutely fits her requirements - it even has the mini floorboards she insists on.

She considered getting a Superlow last year and the 1200T now comes with the larger engine and all the 2014 Sportster improvements. We would have bought bags and a windshield anyway, so the money we save there will go into adjustable levers, seat / handle bar adjustments, plus a crash bar.

The bike should arrive here by end of May - she can hardly expect it.

My Superlow 883 looks remarkably similar now, with windshield and bags. The 1200T costs a lot more than the 883 and I'm not sure it is worth the extra to be frank. As I only use mine solo the bigger engine is not much of an attraction for me.

I was looking at one at the dealership the other day. I like the bags, I like the bars.

The only thing I didn't like was the mids, I use forwards. But that'd be an easy change.

I've got mine set up pretty close to that, bags, windshield, dropped an inch, good idea for HD to offer one right out of the box.

Take a look at the H-D website, where you will find it has:

"Adjustable Rear Shocks

The new SuperLow® 1200T model has an all-new dial adjust emulsion shock and twin tube system. You can tune your suspension to match your riding style, or to accommodate full saddlebags and a passenger without removing the saddlebags or purchasing any special tools. Just dial in your ride and roll."

I suspect that means they are similar to the Premium Touring shocks, which have different spring rates and damping on each side, plus a damping adjuster on one shock.

I am enjoying my Candy Orange T. Do miss the performance/smoothness of my 06 XL1200C with the jet kit. Have a little over 300 miles on it. I'm 6' and weigh @200 lbs. Moved bars back a little and put on Mustang Solo seat and it seems to fit fine. Taller windshield too. Plan on doing some touring with the bike after break-in. Difficult with accessory application since it's new model and no one lists it yet but so far everything recent sportster has fit.

My sister got a new black 1200T. Its awesome right out of the box for a new rider. My mother has and Iron883 and there is a difference in the power/torq of it. Yes I am 6'1" 260lbs and its wasnt a huge scary jump in power from the 883 even tho Im used to my 14 SGS but I can see here needing the extra power going up and down the mountains here in San Diego, Imperial Valley and Julian.

I saw a few at a local dealer. They look mighty similar to the way my Sporty looked with bags and a windshield.
