Default Very low primary whine at idle when bike is hot.

I adjusted my primary chain just a little cause it felt loose, and was also getting jerky in 1st at low rpm. I think I might have it just a little too tight, after a 15 -20 mile ride I can stop and hear it whine. It is a soft whine , not loud at all but you can still hear it. Do these primarys make any type noise, if the chain is too tight wouldn't it be loud? It can cool off for just 10 mins and it wont do it , I have to be pretty close on my adjustment , wouldn't ya think? I put the bike in 5 th with the plugs out and worked an hr trying to find the tightest spot but they tight spots I did find where all about the same. Anyone who has any good tips or advise please help me out here. HD hadn't been doin there job checking the chain and servicing the primary , so I am the man for the job now lol.

I did the adjustment like a member on XLF suggested.

Warm up the primary and tighten the chain adjuster until you hear it whine. then back off until the whine stops, then back out 1/8th turn. Worked for me.

so really if I am hearing the faint whine now , then I just need to back it off about 1/8? do ya break the adjuster loose before you start the engine or does it matter, engine is already hot when I do this , I know that , I was wandering if I could do it with it running.
